MALICIOUS INJURIES, 2022-08270208, 4700 block of Washington Boulevard. At around 8:49 p.m. on August 27, police were dispatched to report a stabbing that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located the juvenile victim and administered medical treatment until medics arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries considered serious but not life-threatening. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the victim was running along Custis Trail before Washington Boulevard when an unknown male suspect approached, stabbed him, and fled the scene on foot. A search for the suspect was broadcast and a search of the area was conducted, with the assistance of a police helicopter, which returned negative results. The victim described the suspect as an Asian or Hispanic male wearing a striped shirt and shorts. The investigation is ongoing.

STOLEN VEHICLE WITH KIDNAPPING, 2022-08280159 N. Lynn St. and Wilson Blvd. At approximately 6:01 p.m. on August 28, officers were reported by a vehicle owner who reported that his idle parked vehicle had been stolen with his child inside. A watch has been issued for the vehicle and the child, including surrounding jurisdictions. At approximately 6:20 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department reported locating the stolen vehicle with the child inside in the 2200 block of Fairlawn Avenue SE Washington DC. The child was not injured. The suspect fled before police arrived. The suspect is described as a black male wearing an orange shirt and jeans. The owner of the vehicle, Gregory Morris, 38, of Falls Church, Va., was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and released on a summons. The investigation is ongoing.

FLIGHT, 2022-08280051 Block 200 N. Thomas St. At approximately 3:48 a.m. on August 28, police were dispatched to a report of a person screaming. Upon arrival, it was determined approximately 30 minutes prior that the male victim was sitting in the area of ​​the 4200 block of 2nd Road N. when the two suspects approached. Suspect One allegedly grabbed the victim by the shoulders as Suspect Two stole his wallet from his pocket. Suspect one then pushed the victim to the ground and both suspects attempted to flee on foot. The victim grabbed suspect two and tried to stop her from leaving the scene. A fight ensued, resulting in minor injuries to the victim. The suspects then fled before police arrived. A surveillance was broadcast and a canvassing of the area gave negative results. Suspect One is described as a black male, around 30 years old with dreadlocks wearing a black shirt and blue pants. Suspect 2 is described as a black female in her mid-30s, 5’5″, stocky, with short hair, wearing a black shirt and pants. The victim refused to seek treatment. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN, 2022-08260215, 4100 block of 4e N. St. At approximately 9:28 p.m. on August 26, police were dispatched to report an attempted break and enter. Upon arrival, the victim said the unknown suspect allegedly attempted to enter the residence through a locked window. The victim said the suspect appeared to be fleeing the scene in a dark colored SUV. There are no suspicious descriptions at this time. No items were reported stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
